- This area was Pasture Land for many years. More recently it has been mowed for Hay production, but for the last two years it has become so overrun with Horsenettle (Solanum dimidiatum) that it was no longer considered useful for feed Hay, and has just been only mowed just one time each summer. It was last mowed in mid July. I have been wandering around in this field and observing Monarch Larva off and on throughout this summer.
