- I observed 22 common milkweed plants. There were seven eggs and one 3rd instar. Milkweed plants are mixed in with other species of plants and the grass around the plants is cut short to keep a trail. Other insect, etc. species seen: ladybug, snail, daddy long legs, katydid, leaf hopper.
