- I brought in 5th instar cats to help assure survival. I ended up with 18 chrysalis. I have 3 large habitats for them and control lighting and sounds to mimic outdoor. The sun rises inside as it would outside and so on. I also provide nature sounds, crickets and such for nighttime and birds and such for daytime. I try to keep it close to the environment. Alexa helps immensely with this..
